As of May 27, 2021, there is a program to bring back Costco samples in June 2021! Yay!
According to the earning call, samples will start to come back "commencement a phased return to full sampling" early on adjacent month after a fourteen-month hiatus. Roughly 170 US locations will bring back food samples in the starting time week of June with "most of the remaining locations" returning toward the end of June, said Costco Primary Financial Officeholder Richard Galanti.
As for samples, they will be given a scrap different than you may remember.
